This little girl has completely changed me, and for the better. She is turning into such a fun little person - I am in awe every day at this amazing little personality she is developing. She laughs all the time. She will smile at the strangest of strangers. She is already falling in love with the world, and I adore showing new parts of it to her each and every day. She is such a good little sidekick. As long as her tummy is full, she will go anywhere, anytime - and will pretty much nap anywhere and anytime as well (I think she gets that from both her daddy and I - we can sleep ANYWHERE!)

This is her new favorite position - her tummy!!! She can scoot and roll and get pretty much anywhere she needs to be - which means we need to start babyproofing!! In a MAJOR way - any tips on this?

I thank God every day for this amazing little creature He blessed Jon and I with - I cannot imagine my life without her anymore. She is perfect, and keeps us both smiling on a daily basis. I mean, really - how could you be sad with these little teeth peeking out at you?

We had some maternity photos taken about a month ago by a dear friend {and amazing photographer} Joy Wilson. She captured our personalities perfectly, and I know I will always love looking back on these photos of my very first pregnancy. I highly highly recommend her if you live anywhere in the South - she kept us giggling {which you can clearly see in some of the photos} the whole time, and we had a blast with her.

I am finally getting around to posting some of the fun things we have been working on while waiting for our little bean to get here. Her nursery has come together and I love every little section of it. I still have some pictures I need to hang, as well as figuring out her bathroom decor, but I’m finally ok with showing it to everyone. So I have my very first baby shower tomorrow morning, and I am so very excited! I cannot wait to see friends I haven’t seen in a long time, and get to celebrate my darling little Matilda while we are at it!

I was at work today, and had a fit session (which I never take part in - being almost 30 weeks pregnant, most things at Anthropologie don’t fit me right!!) Well, my manager handed me the dress below, and I tried it on, not expecting much, and it fit! Perfectly! And I couldn’t stop thinking about it the entire time I worked… so I bought it. Even though I really shouldn’t have, and probably can’t afford it, I just couldn’t resist it. It’s not often that I find something that I love, that will fit my huge belly!!!

I will try to get some pictures of me actually in it - but seriously… it is SO ADORABLE!!!

We’ve had a blast visiting Jon’s family in Kansas City the past few days. This is our last trip here before Matilda is born, and we were happy that work schedules allowed it to happen. So far, we’ve been eating lots and lots, shopping, relaxing and Matilda has gotten some adorable presents from family and friends - I will get some photos and post them on here!

My favorite thing she has gotten so far is this handmade Raggedy Ann doll that was made for Jon’s mom - so cute!!

We ate at one of Jon’s favorite BBQ places (and mine too) today - and basically gorged ourselves on Beef BBQ, Burnt Ends, fries and bakes beans. YUM. Just what I needed - a plate full of meat and carbs!

So that’s why i’ve been absent - we’ve been enjoying family time too much for me to be on here!!
